How I Approach Health & Wellness

"Health is not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.  Health is a state of complete physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social wellbeing."

My goal is to help you create more balance and vitality in your life.  I believe that our bodies have an innate ability to heal itself and sometimes just needs a little extra support.


My approach to health and wellness is based on the understanding that everything is interconnected.  When presented with a health concern, I first take a step back to look at the whole picture of my client’s life, and then work with them to figure out where the blocks are coming from that are causing the symptoms and concerns to arise.  My main focus is the Mind-Body-Nature connection.  The 4 sub-aspects of that are: Diet/Nutrition, Lifestyle, Mental/Emotional/Spiritual Wellbeing, and Connection to Nature.  When we look at the bigger picture, we can have a better understanding on how to bring the entire system back into balance. 


While I do put emphasis on working with herbs and diet/nutrition, other modalities I work with include meditation/mindfulness exercises, the mind-body connection, and how to reconnect with nature.  I believe that living a healthful life should be more accessible and do my best to provide affordable services. 

Here are a few examples of what I'm curious about:

  • Do you feel your food after you eat (stomach gurgles, burping, bloated, etc)?

  • How do you feel about where you are in life?

  • What are the general textures and patterns of your daily thoughts?

  • Do you like yourself as a person?

  • Is your home environment relaxing and rejuvenating?

  • What are your major stressors? And do you have tools to work with them?

Things to expect while working with me:

  • How you approach your health and wellbeing is ultimately up to you

  • I am here to support you in your healing through education, suggestions, and consultations

  • I am not here to diagnosis, treat, or prescribe

  • I network with other practitioners so that I can refer you out if your needs are outside of my scope or practice, or if you need additional people on your team

  • My ultimate goal is to help you rebalance and revitalize yourself through mind/body/nature connection
